Galaxy Blue Kids Rolling Backpack Set

I bought this less than 3 months ago for my 3rd grader. First thing to go was a hole in the netted side pocket so she lost her yeti!! Then yesterday the handle broke off as she got off the bus..thank God I was there because the metal is so sharp. This is a LAWSUIT waiting to happen. I'm livid that this happened only after 3 months of use when I paid close to 70 dollars!!!!

Present for my Grand daughter. She wanted this, along with other things for her Birthday. She loves it.

My son is in 2nd grade and is average size for his age. He started complaining about how heavy his backpack is (Ninja Turtle licensed Bioworld backpack) bc of his chromebook, water bottle, ginormous lunch/snackbag (pottery barn metal locking lunchcase), etc.Never had a rolling backpack before this so not able to compare with previous use. So I bought J World (sold teal one), Tilami (blue with sea animals - might have been an older model based on the handle?), and this Choco Mocha (Black with multi colored sharks) I’ll call CM) brand at the same time to see what worked for my son and compare.This CM brand was $20 more than the J World ($60) and $30 more than the Tilami $50). I didn’t want to go “whole hog” and go w the Jansport rolling from Amazon bc it was so expensive $100+ and it didn’t have fun designs a younger gradeschooler might want. Although the brand name and lifetime warranty is something that might be useful and makes the price easier to stomach should he want one when he gets older.Backpack itself is built very well and has some additional features compared to the other two (tuck+zip away handle, straps, and wheel/bottom cover), plus it includes matching lunchbox. It is, however, a bit heavier as a result - not a whole lot but it was noticeable and maybe might be a world of a difference to some kids who are smaller (which I would then recommend the Tilami model pictured)? Since it is a rolling backpack I figured it might not matter as much since he doesn’t have many stairs this year at school.While the J World provided structure to the bottom and a bit more real estate on the bottom frame, I ultimately went for this CM brand one bc it seemed sturdier overall and also included the laptop sleeve pocket and lunch bag, along with the details (eg the hooks and loops in the front) so more functionality. It has more zippers and zippers which seemed much more durable. Personally, I am also not a huge fan of prominent logos, and the CM doesn’t yell it’s name out.

Whoops- I guess I should have read the description more closely- the handle only extends 12 inches…way too short for my 8 year old.

Compre este bulto a mi hija aproximadamente 3 años para 1 año escolar, después y hoy dia todavia lo usamos para viajes y esta intacto. Obiamente tiene sus lavadas en la lavadora por el constante uso y hasta hoy dia no a perdido su color y se ajusta bien. Resistencia al peso sin desajustarse.
